Hourglass Building, The Netherlands - Project Update
The Hourglass building, as the name suggests, has a form of an hourglass with straight panels at the bottom to panels with an inclination to the top. The main objective was to create a structurally sound base façade with a mechanical fixing system that extends up to the third storey and then to follow it up to the top with precast elements that form the inclined façade. For this reason, BILDA system was utilized up to the third floor, which helped with the quicker progression of the installation of the precast panels.
